- John 11 Narrative Criticism
Written in the third-person perspective by an omniscient narrator from the Johannine community for first century Christians, John 11:1-45 explores the necessity of temporal death as the prerequisite for eternal life. In support of this claim, my examination of the text itself will utilize narrative gaps interspersed with foreshadowing. At the end of the paper, I will also include an R.C.I.A. application, indicating how lessons learned from the pericope can prayerfully inform core Catholic identity. - Biography | Father Patric
Father Patric Nikolas is a member of the Society of the Divine Savior, or Salvatorians. He graduated with an MDiv and an MA degree in systematic theology from Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology, and was ordained a priest in 2019. Father Patric has served throughout the United States and internationally, most recently as a full-time priest chaplain and theology teacher at Divine Savior Holy Angels All-Girls’ High School. He currently serves as parochial vicar at Divine Savior Catholic Church, and is a member of the United States Salvatorian Provincial Council.
